Certification
Purpose of ROSA Certification
ROSA Certification provides a formal, documentation based designation indicating alignment with ROSA documentation standards at a defined point in time.
Certification exists for properties or portfolios that require verified documentation posture for internal governance, insurance review, legal reference, or portfolio level standardization.
ROSA Certification evaluates documentation alignment only. It does not evaluate operations, technology performance, or outcomes.
Documentation Based Review
ROSA Certification is based entirely on documentation review.
Certification involves a structured review of submitted materials to confirm alignment with ROSA documentation standards. The review focuses on the presence, structure, and completeness of required documentation.
Certification does not involve:
Onsite inspections
Operational audits
Monitoring or supervision
Technical evaluation of robotic systems
Staff interviews or training validation
Certification confirms documentation posture, not execution.
Certification Scope
ROSA Certification verifies that, at the time of review:
Required ROSA documentation was present
Documentation aligned with ROSA standards
Governance posture was formally recorded
Certification does not verify safety, performance, compliance, or risk outcomes.
Relationship to ROSA Participation
ROSA Certification is one of several ways a property may formally reference the ROSA Standard.
Certification is not required to acknowledge ROSA or utilize ROSA documentation. Properties may reference ROSA through other lifecycle stages as appropriate to their needs.
Certification is initiated only through explicit request and review. It is not implied by any other ROSA status.
Responsibility and Outcomes
ROSA Certification does not transfer responsibility.
All responsibility for robotics deployment, supervision, compliance, and outcomes remains with the property owner or operator.
Certification does not:
Approve operations
Guarantee safety
Confirm regulatory compliance
Influence insurance underwriting
Prevent incidents
Summary

Certification confirms documentation alignment at a point in time. It does not assume responsibility or guarantee outcomes.
Initiating Certification Review
ROSA Certification is initiated through a formal request for documentation review. Organizations seeking certification may request current certification requirements and submission guidelines by contacting ROSA.
Certification requests are reviewed on a documentation only basis and are evaluated against ROSA standards in effect at the time of review. Submission of a request does not imply approval, eligibility, or certification.
Certification is granted only through formal review and designation.
